NLSIU Bangalore launches Centre for Study of Rule of Law

In collaboration with TrustBridge, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU Bangalore) will establish a brand-new research unit called the “Centre for Study of Rule of Law.”

“This Center, a five-year initiative, will investigate the rule of law with the goal of enhancing India’s markets, business, and economy. In a statement, NLSIU stated, “The Centre will be situated on the University campus in Bangalore.”

It stated that the Center for the Study of Rule of Law’s primary objective was to “promote and further scholarship on questions of rule of law in areas where the better functioning of the rule of law will lead to an improvement in the performance of markets and the economy in general.

The rule of law in financial markets and government litigation and contracting will be the initial focus of the center. According to the law institute, the center’s work will evaluate the impact on economic outcomes of the drafting of subordinate legislation and enforcement processes in the banking and bankruptcy, insurance, pension, and capital markets sectors.

Additionally, it will investigate the causes of government litigation and offer suggestions for enhancing its efficiency. According to NLSIU, it intends to lay the groundwork for a solid regulatory environment in order to establish a prosperous economy. The Middle will work under a leader council and a warning board, and will have a group involving specialists from the areas of regulation and financial matters close by other regulatory staff.
