NITI Aayog Internship: Opportunities For Students And Researchers To Work With National Think Tank

NITI Aayog : The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog is offering internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as research scholars enrolled in recognized universities or institutions both in India and abroad. This initiative provides interns with a chance to work closely with NITI Aayog’s various verticals, divisions, and cells.

How To Apply For NITI Internship Scheme?

Interested candidates can apply online between 1st and 10th of each month on the official website – niti.gov.in. Applications can be made up to six months in advance, but not later than two months before the desired internship month.

NITI Aayog Internship Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Undergraduate Students: Must have completed or appeared for the term-end exams of the second year or fourth semester of their bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class.

Graduate Students: Must have completed or appeared for the term-end exams of the first year or second semester of their postgraduate program or be pursuing research/PhD with at least 70% or equivalent marks in graduation.

Graduates/Postgraduates Awaiting Higher Studies: Students who have completed their final exams and are awaiting admission to higher studies are also eligible, provided they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters until the date of application. The gap between the declaration of the final exam result and the desired month of internship should not exceed six months.

NITI Aayog Internship Duration:

Internships at NITI Aayog will be available throughout the year, depending on the institution’s requirements. The internship period will be at least six weeks, but cannot exceed six months. Interns must complete the entire duration to receive an experience certificate. Failure to complete the required internship duration will result in no certificate being issued.
