NID DAT 2025 : The National Institute of Design (NID has started the online registration process for the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) Prelims 2025. Candidates who meet the requirements and are interested in applying for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes can register on the official website, admission.nid.edu. Candidates may apply for NID DAT 2025 until December 3 without any late fee charges.
According to the official exam schedule, the NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be held in January 2025. The NID entrance card will be out in the fourth week of December, which will include the name of the exam centre. The DAT preliminary exams will take place in 22 cities around the nation.
Candidates who have passed or plan to take the Class 12 qualifying exam in any stream from any recognised board in the academic year 2024–2025 are eligible to apply for BDes courses, provided they meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
–– MDes candidates must have completed Class 12 and hold a full-time certificate in design, fine arts, applied arts, or architecture from an accredited institution, or a three- or four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Step 1: Go to nid.edu, the NID’s official website.
Step 2: Select the ‘academic’ option from the homepage.
Step 3: The screen will change to a new page.
Step 4: Click on the “Admission 2025–26 for B Des and M Des is now OPEN” link under the heading.
Step 5: In the “How to Apply” section, select “Signup” to apply.
Step 6: Register and continue with the application form.
Step 7: Submit your application and pay the registration fee.
Step 8: Print a copy of your application for your records.
