NEET UG Counselling 2022: MCC postpones stray vacancy round

Today, the Medical Counseling Committee announced that the stray vacancy round for the NEET UG counselling 2022 will be delayed. The new schedule can be viewed by candidates on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The round of stray vacancies will begin today and end on December 28.

From now until December 20, candidates can opt out of the stray vacancy round. Between December 21 and 22, the seats will be processed. On December 23, the result will be announced.

Additionally, students are required to report to their designated colleges between December 24 and 28. The MCC made the decision to postpone counseling because many states’ mop-up rounds of UG counseling were delayed and concluded on December 18.

Students who do not wish to participate in the stray vacancy round should log in to their account and use the “opt out” option to avoid having their security deposit forfeited in order to ensure that states finish their mop up rounds and that there is no overlap between the stray vacancy round of the MCC and the mop up round of states.

In addition, candidates who participate in the stray vacancy round will be given seats based on their merit and the choices they made in the follow-up counseling round.
