NEET UG 2025 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced significant updates to streamline the registration and examination process of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025. In a bid to enhance transparency, efficiency, and security, the NTA will integrate the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID with the NEET UG 2025.
In the official notice, the NTA urged the candidates to use their APAAR ID as well as Aadhaar-based authentication during the application and examination process. The NTA has asked the candidates to update their Aadhaar credentials according to the information mentioned on their 10th-grade mark sheet or passing certificate.
“Updated credentials are highly recommended for ease of verification, registration process and to enhance the integrity of the examination process. NEET (UG)-2025 registration process shall be starting in due course of time. Candidates are advised to update their credentials in Aadhar, preferably as per their 10 Marksheet/Passing Certificate. Also, ensure your Aadhaar is linked with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication,” stated the official notice.
Simplified Application Process: Aadhaar helps auto-populate applicant details, minimizing manual errors and speeding up the submission process.
Enhanced Examination Efficiency: The integration allows for a smoother examination process, reducing delays and complications.
Faster Attendance Verification: Aadhaar-linked identity ensures quick, accurate verification during exam attendance.
Candidate Welfare: With features like facial recognition, Aadhaar enhances security and ensures candidates are uniquely identified throughout the examination cycle.
The NTA has advised the candidates to update the following credentials on their Aadhaar
Update Aadhaar Details: Ensure that your Aadhaar information, particularly your name and date of birth (matching your 10th mark sheet), is accurate. This can be done at any nearby Aadhaar Enrollment or Update Center.
