NEET UG 2024: Counselling to begin on August 14

NEET UG 2024 : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024. Candidates can view the full schedule for the counselling from their official website – mcc.nic.in.

On August 14, the first round of counseling will begin. Candidates who have passed NEET UG 2024 are qualified to participate in the counseling process. The tentative seat matrix will be checked from August 14 to August 15. Candidates will have time to finish their registration and pay their fees by 3 p.m. on August 20 from August 14 to August 20 (noon).

Candidates will be able to fill out and lock their choices from August 16 to August 20 at 11:55 p.m., with the choice locking option only available from August 20 at 4 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. The allocation of seats will take place on August 21 and 22, and the outcomes will be made public on August 23. From August 24 to August 29, candidates who have been allocated seats will need to report to the institutions they have been assigned to join. On August 30 and 31, the institutions will verify the data for the joined candidates, and the data will be made available on the MCC website.

Beginning on September 4, round 2 counseling will begin. There will be three rounds of online counseling for NEET UG, as well as one online vacancy round. For admission to 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ), 85 percent State Quota, deemed and central universities, private colleges, AFMS/ESIC institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER, counseling is being conducted.

On July 23, in the midst of cancellation requests, the Supreme Court decided that NEET 2024 would not be retaken and directed the NTA to release revised results after reintroducing the original Physics Q19 answer.
