NEET is an entrance exam conducted for individuals seeking admission to undergraduate medical education programs in various medical institutions. The NEET score is also a prerequisite for aspirants of the Military Nursing Scheme (MNS) who intend to apply for the BSc Nursing course, which is offered at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals. Individuals who have completed their 12th-grade education through an open school or are private candidates will not be eligible to appear for the NEET exam.
It is mandatory for candidates to have passed the Intermediate examination in Science, which includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English to be eligible to appear for the NEET exam.
To be eligible for the NEET exam, candidates must have passed the BSc examination from an Indian University, provided that they have cleared the exam in at least two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology. Moreover, they must have cleared their earlier qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
