NEET SS special mop-up round counselling registration begins

Today, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) began the special mop-up round of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-Super Specialty (NEET SS). SS counseling for DM, MCh, and DNB SS courses will be available to all candidates who scored above the 20th percentile. On the MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in, applicants will need to register for the NEET SS special mop-up round counseling in 2022. The special mop-up round will not be open to any candidate who has already been allocated a seat and joined the race in previous rounds.

The ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) made the decision to lower the qualifying percentile from the current 50th percentile to the 20th percentile. Candidates who will be given seats in a special mop-up round will need to show up at the Institute they were given a seat at and bring their original documents with them. According to the counseling policy, candidates whose allotted seats are filled will lose their security deposit, the MCC stated.

Counseling for NEET SS in 2022: Who should apply?

The NEET SS 2022 special mop-up round is open to candidates who did not receive a seat in rounds 1 or 2. After selecting the “RESET Registration” option and paying the required fee, candidates who did not take up their allotted seats in previous rounds and were disqualified can take part in counseling.
