NEET PG Counselling 2024: MCC Withdraws 10 Seats From Round 3

NEET PG Counselling : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the withdrawal of 10 seats from the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 Round 3 counselling. The committee received information regarding the removal of these seats from the seat matrix for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024.

According to the notice, the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Navi Mumbai has reduced 10 seats across four specialities in the open position, backward class, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribe categories.

On January 17, the MCC had previously removed 23 seats from the NEET PG counselling 2024 Round 3 seat matrix, while adding 12 new seats.

The 10 seats being withdrawn from PGIMS will be removed from the seat matrix before the allotment process for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024.

The issued circular reveals that specialties such as MD (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MS (Obstetrics and Gynecology) (OBGY), and MD (General Medicine) experienced the largest reduction, with 6 seats withdrawn. In contrast, only 3 seats were removed from the MD (Paediatrics CS) and MS (Orthopaedics) departments.

MS (General Surgery) – 1 seat

MS (Orthopaedics) – 1 seat

MD (Paediatrics) (Paed) – 1 seat

MD (Paediatrics) (Paed) – 1 seat

These seats will no longer be available in the seat matrix for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024.

Candidates were given the opportunity to register for round 3 until January 22, 2025. The choice-filling and choice-locking process was done from January 22 to 23. The seat allotment result will be declared on January 25. Selected candidates will have to report to the assigned colleges by February 3. The data verification by institutes will be done between February 4 and 5.
