NEET PG 2024 Counselling: MCC To Fill 24,314 Seats In Round 3 After Cut-Off Reduction
NEET PG 2024 : The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced 24,314 vacancies for NEET PG Round 3 counselling 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can register for the NEET PG Round 3 on the official website – mcc.nic.in on by 12 PM today, January 15, 2025.
The MCC has announced 15,902 virtual vacancies for Round 3 of NEET PG counselling. Virtual vacancies refer to seats allotted in Round 2 that are temporarily vacant due to candidates choosing to update or vacate them.
A total of 8,313 clear vacancies have been announced, which are seats that remained unallotted in the previous round and 99 new seats have been added for Round 3 counselling, including in medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Meanwhile, The Committee revised the NEET PG counselling schedule due to a reduction in cut-offs, allowing more aspirants to join the admission process. The cut-offs were lowered to prevent PG seats in medical colleges from remaining vacant.
According to the official notification, candidates belonging to the General Category/EWS category, on securing 15 percentile and above, will be eligible to participate in the counselling. SC/ST/OBC/ PwD category candidates can participate in counselling on securing the 10 percentile.
NEET PG Roud 3 Counselling Schedule
Candidates can register for the NEET PG Round 3 on the official website – mcc.nic.in on by 12 PM January 15, 2025, and select the preferences up to 8 AM on January 16, 2025. Candidates who will secure the seats in round 3 of the counselling will be required to report to the allotted colleges from January 18, 2025, to January 25, 2025. Verification of Joined candidates’ data by institutes and sharing of data by the MCC will be done from January 27 to January 28, 2025.
