NCTE invites applications from institutes for transition from 4-year integrated courses to ITEP

NCTE : The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has invited applications for four-year integrated programme for transition to the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). Institutions wanting transition from the BA BEd or BSc BEd programmes can apply on the official website, ncte.gov.in.

“Considering the NCTE (Revision) Guidelines 2024, NCTE thus welcomes applications for progress from the organizations which have been conceded acknowledgment by NCTE to run the 4-year coordinated program (BA BEd/BSc BEd). In an official notice, the council stated, “The institutions desirous for transition to ITEP may apply on the online transition module in the NCTE website within the stipulated time.”

NCTE informed that the last scholastic meeting for affirmation of understudies to 4-year incorporated programs will be 2024-25. No new affirmations will be made in these courses from there on. Those understudies who have been enlisted under the 2024-25 meeting will be permitted to follow through with their courses. ” The 4-year incorporated BSc BEd/BA BEd program will be ceased from the scholarly meeting 2025-26.

The four-year integrated programs’ recognized units and streams will remain unchanged. The foundations who need change to ITEP might settle on center or the optional stage, NCTE said.

“In the event that any foundation, which isn’t perceived by the NCTE, applies for change; the application will be comprehensively dismissed and any charges paid by such organization will be relinquished,” the chamber cautioned.
