Mumbai University Online And Distance Learning Exam Dates 2024 Revised

Mumbai University : The University of Mumbai’s Centre for Distance and Online Education has updated the exam schedule for the 2024 online and distance learning exams. The exams, which were supposed to take place on November 19 and 20, will now take place on alternative days because of the assembly elections in Maharashtra.

The official notice, which was posted on October 18, states that exams originally scheduled for November 19 will now take place on November 30. On the other hand, exams, set for November 20, will now be held on December 7. However, the venue and duration of exams remain the same.

The official notice reads “A reference is invited to various examinations of Winter 2024. The Director, Institute of Distance & Open Learning, and the Principals of affiliated Colleges in Arts, Commerce & Management, and Science & Technology are hereby informed that the papers scheduled for November 19 and 20, 2024, have been rescheduled due to the Assembly Elections in Maharashtra and will now be held on the revised date.”

Meanwhile, the university has extended the deadline for UG and PG students to apply to distance learning and online courses. In addition, the deadline for first-year MMS course admission has been extended till October 30. The Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management admission process has been extended for the first and second sessions as well.

Open and distance learning helps students who, for social or economic reasons, are geographically or temporally separated from educators or educational institutions. In response to this, the University of Mumbai created the Directorate of Correspondence Courses in 1971–1972. Later on, the Directorate of Correspondence Courses was renamed the Institute of Distance Education, and in 1993, it was registered as an actual university.
