Maharasthra’s first industrial training institute for disabled persons inaugurated in Latur

industrial training institute: Maharashtra’s first Industrial Training Institute (ITI) for disabled persons was inaugurated at Harangul near here on Saturday. Skills development minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha inaugurated the institute virtually. The institute, named Samvedna ITI, will start admitting students from June 2024.

The state Directorate of Vocational Education and Training’s Digambar Dalvi presented the institute with a Rs one crore check. Lodha said at the event that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave people with disabilities a new identity by coining the term “Divyang,” which changed how people saw them, and that this institute will be a light for the Divyang people.

The ITI, according to Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sanjay Bansode, will assist disabled individuals in integrating into mainstream society.
