KVS Balvatika Admission 2025-26: Application Dates, Fees, Eligibility

KVS : Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) is one of the top government school networks in the country, and securing admission is highly competitive. The admission process for Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika has now begun. Before Balvatika was introduced, KV only offered classes from Class 1 onwards, with no preschool system.

What is Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika?

Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika is a pre-primary education initiative under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). It aims to provide early education to children aged 3 to 6 years, following the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum focuses on interactive and play-based learning to foster holistic development and strengthen the foundation for future schooling. Balvatika serves as an alternative to Nursery, LKG, and UKG, which were traditionally offered only in private schools.

How to Get Admission?

Admissions to Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika follow the guidelines set by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The eligibility criteria for the 2025-26 session are as follows:

Bal Vatika 1: Children aged 3 to 4 years (as of March 31, 2025)

Bal Vatika 2: Children aged 4 to 5 years

Bal Vatika 3: Children aged 5 to 6 years

Application Process

Bal Vatika 1 and 3: Applications for Bal Vatika 1 and 3 must be submitted online via kvsangathan.nic.in or kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. The application window for the 2025-26 session is open from March 7 to March 21, 2025.

Bal Vatika 2: Applications for Bal Vatika 2 must be submitted offline at the respective KV between April 2 and April 11, 2025, subject to seat availability.
