KCET 2025: KEA Releases Document Verification Guidelines

KCET 2025 : The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released detailed guidelines for the verification of documents after the submission of the CET-2025 application. These guidelines are aimed at ensuring a smooth process for candidates, especially those claiming various reservations and clause codes.

For students who have claimed Clause Code ‘A’ and have not studied from 1st to 10th standard in Kannada medium or under Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations, but whose 7 years of study have been verified through the Student Academic Tracking System (SATS), they will receive a Claim Certificate marked as “Successfully Verified.” These candidates will not need to visit any college for further verification, as their applications will be accepted directly.

However, students who have claimed Clause Code ‘A’ and studied in Kannada Medium, Rural, Religious, or Linguistic Minority reservations for 10 years (from 1st to 10th standard) will receive a certificate marked as “Claimed Verified,” “Claimed Not Verified,” or “Not Claimed.” Such students are required to visit the Principal of their current PUC/12th Standard college, or the nearest Government PU College, with the original documents (as specified on the KEA website) and a set of Xerox copies for verification.

Further, students who have entered Clause Codes ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘T’, ‘J’, ‘K’, ‘L’, ‘M’, and ‘N’, other than Clause Code ‘A’, will have their document verification schedule published on the KEA website. Students who have entered Clause Codes ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’, ‘H’, or ‘O’ must get their academic documents verified at their PUC/12th standard college, while documents related to Defence, Ex-Defence, CAPF, and Ex-CAPF should be submitted for verification directly to KEA.

In addition, students must ensure the validity of their Caste, Caste-Income Certificates, and RD numbers as these are being verified online. It is essential for candidates to enter the RD numbers correctly in their application forms.
