JoSAA 2024 Cut-Off: Determining factors
The following factors determine the JoSAA 2024 cut-off

Number of applicants: The total number of applicants seeking admission to various IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) influences cutoffs. Higher demand can lead to higher cutoffs.

Seat availability: The number of seats available in each program and institute also plays a crucial role. Limited seats compared to the number of applicants can raise cut-offs.

Previous years’ cutoff trends: Trends from previous years are considered while determining cutoffs for the current year.

Difficulty level of entrance exams: The difficulty level of entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced affects candidate performance and subsequently impacts cutoffs.

Reservation policies: Reservation policies based on categories such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) can influence cutoffs differently for each category.

Institute and program preferences: Individual candidate preferences for specific institutes and programs affect the cutoffs, as popular choices may have higher cutoffs.

State quota and other quotas: State-specific quotas and other special quotas can also impact cutoffs differently across states and categories.
