JNU to confer honorary doctorate on Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan

JNU :  Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is on a four-day visit to India, will be conferred an honorary doctorate by Jawaharlal Nehru University on Tuesday, according to the Education Ministry. President Hassan arrived here on Sunday on a four-day visit.

“The primary lady Leader of Tanzania will be regarded with a privileged doctorate (Honoris Causa) by Jawaharlal Nehru College for her vital job in encouraging more grounded India-Tanzania relations, advancing monetary discretion, and making progress in provincial coordination and multilateralism.

“She gladly recognizes herself as a “result of Indian schooling”, crediting it to her ITEC preparing at NIRD, Hyderabad,” the Instruction Service posted via virtual entertainment site X.

Top state leader Narendra Modi on Monday held boundless discussions with Tanzanian President Hassan, with an emphasis on supporting generally reciprocal ties.
