Jammu and Kashmir Class 8th Result: On Monday, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) declared the results for the Middle Standard for the academic year 2022-23. This is a noteworthy occasion as it is the first instance where the government has introduced a consistent academic schedule in J&K UT and carried out examinations during the March-April period.
Roughly 175,547 students from both public and private schools across all 20 districts participated in the second-term examination for the academic year 2022-23. To ensure a seamless and efficient examination process, the J&K UT was divided into two zones, namely Soft and Hard.
As per the Joint Director’s statement, the outcomes have been highly encouraging, with a total of 169,564 candidates meeting the requirements, leading to an outstanding overall pass percentage of 96.6.
In the Jammu Division, a total of 88,506 students took the examination, out of which 86,132 students passed. The government schools had a pass percentage of 93.85, while the private schools recorded a pass percentage of 97.84.
In the Kashmir Division, a total of 87,041 candidates took the exam, out of which 83,432 candidates passed. The government schools recorded a pass percentage of 95.67, whereas the private schools had a pass percentage of 95.53.
Director of SCERT, Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas, extended his congratulations to the students on their remarkable achievements and wished them the very best for their future endeavors. Additionally, he expressed gratitude towards SCERT, DIETs, and other stakeholders for their valuable contribution towards making this challenging exercise a success.
