Indian Army Job: Invites Applications For 35th JAG Entry Scheme, 8 Officer Positions Available

Indian Army Job: The Indian Army has announced the official notification for the 35th Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Scheme, set to begin in October 2025. This scheme invites unmarried male and female law graduates to apply for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer roles in the JAG branch of the Indian Army. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official recruitment portal at joinindianarmy.nic.in. According to the official timeline, candidates have just 10 days left to apply. The last date to apply for this recruitment is November 28. A total of 8 JAG positions will be filled, with 4 positions reserved for men and 4 for women.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online using the prescribed application form available through the link on the official website. Follow the steps below to submit your application:

Step 1: Visit the official website at joinindianarmy.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Indian Army Recruitment 2024″ link.

Step 3: Fill in the necessary details as required.

Step 4: Submit your completed application form.

Step 5: Upload the required documents.

Step 6: Ensure to take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess an LLB degree (either a 3-year course after graduation or a 5-year course after completing 10+2) with at least 55 per cent marks from a recognized university. Additionally, the candidate must have a valid CLAT PG 2024 score to be eligible to apply. Candidates should also be eligible for registration as a lawyer with the Bar Council of India or the Bar Council of the State. The degree should be obtained from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Age Limit:

Candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and should not be more than 27 years as of the last date of application, November 28.

Salary and Benefits:

Candidates selected for this position will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. During the training period, they will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100. Upon completing the training, they will be paid according to the designated salary scale for their role in the Army. In addition to the basic salary, candidates will be entitled to various allowances, including a Military Service Pay of Rs. 15,500. The salary range for the position of Lieutenant is between Rs. 56,100 and Rs. 1,77,500.
