Income Tax Recruitment 2025: No Written Exam, Salary Up To Rs 81,000 A Month

Income Tax Recruitment : The Income Tax Department has recently released a recruitment notification for various posts, including Stenographer Grade II, Tax Assistant, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (Hyderabad).

The application process has already begun, and a total of 56 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. This recruitment is being conducted under the sports quota and candidates can apply on or before April 5. Before applying, candidates should carefully review the details given below.

Tax Assistant (TA): 28 posts

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 26 posts

Age Limit

Stenographer Grade II And Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years

Multi-Tasking Staff: 18 to 25 years

Age Relaxation

  • 5 years for General/OBC candidates
  • 10 years for SC/ST candidates
  • Special relaxation is applicable for meritorious sportspersons.

Eligibility Criteria

Stenographer Grade II: Must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board or university.

Tax Assistant: Must have a degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

Multi-Tasking Staff: Must have passed matriculation or an equivalent examination.

Salary Structure

Stenographer Grade II And Tax Assistant: Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100 (Level 4, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)

Multi-Tasking Staff: Rs 18,000 – Rs 56,900 (Level 1, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)

Selection Process

Stenographer Grade II: The skill test includes a dictation test (10 minutes/80 words per minute) and a transcription test (English: 50 words per minute, Hindi: 65 words per minute).

Tax Assistant: Candidates must pass a data entry skill test with a typing speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.
