IIT Ropar partners with start-up GUVI for excellence in e-learning services

New initiatives to promote excellence in e-learning services by IIT Ropar are being developed in collaboration with IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad-incubated edtech startup GUVI.

Through IIT Ropar, the GUVI will collaborate on research to improve its placement-oriented career program, “ZEN Class,” and mentorship by meeting IIT Ropar’s high standards for e-learning services.

About ZEN CLASS GUVI:

ZEN CLASS GUVI is a vernacular edtech startup based in IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad that offers self-paced tech courses, ZEN class career programs, and other services to career aspirants interested in IT and software jobs.

Specialized information technology courses are offered by GUVI, which provides students with an online platform for learning in their native tongues. These courses aim to improve students’ skills and make them “job ready” online.

IDEA BEHIND THIS COLLABORATION

This collaboration will bolster Sridevi Arunprakash’s ideal vision, which she pursued throughout her professional career to ensure high-quality tech education and training through GUVI. Through self-paced online courses and more than 2,000 successful job placements in vivid career domains of “ZEN Class” career programs, such thoughtful efforts have upskilled over 18 lakh students worldwide.

“Our laboratory has been specialising in online education-based technologies and we, were on the lookout for the implementation of edtech ideas on portals such as GUVI which has amassed more than 18 Lakh students,” stated Sudarshan Iyengar, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Ropar, highlighting the unique aspects of this collaboration. Our relationship with GUVI will be qualitatively enhanced, and our learning and teaching methods will be improved.

In addition to English, GUVI provides industry-demanding technological skills in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Bengali.

About the Zen Class Career Programs The Zen Class Career Programs provide online boot camps that are placement-oriented in a variety of in-demand fields, including Full-stack development, Data Science with Advanced Programming, Data Engineering, Digital Marketing and Business Analytics, Automation Testing, and UI/UX, among others. The curriculum of the program is meticulous, and professional veterans provide 360-degree career guidance.
