IIT Roorkee revises its postgraduate, MTech curriculum, introduces courses on AI and ML

IIT Roorkee: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has unveiled a revised postgraduate (PG) curriculum aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). The new curriculum emphasises project-based learning, industry interaction, and research, aiming to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the modern world.

The IIT Roorkee will carry out the modified PG educational program from the harvest time semester of 2024-25. The overhauled educational program was completed with the targets of upgrading the quality, pertinence, and seriousness of the scholarly contributions, guaranteeing that the alumni are furnished with the abilities and information important to succeed in their particular fields.

The changed PG educational plan offers adaptable container based courses, which incorporate the program center courses (PCC), specialization-based program elective courses (PEC), and cultural effect themed sociologies courses (SSC). SSC courses will underscore the cultural effect of innovation and science. The educational plan will likewise present the obligatory science, innovation, and high level exploration (STAR) bushel and the Temporary job or Social Movement (ISA) crate, the establishment said.
