IIT Roorkee GATE 2025 Result Date And Time, Documents Needed To Check Scores

GATE 2025 : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is scheduled to declare the GATE 2025 result on March 19 on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2025 candidates can download their scorecards from March 28 to May 31, 2025, once results are announced.

On the basis of the GATE result, one can take admission to masters programmes of IIT and other technical institutes. Many PSUs also ask for the exam scores for government jobs. The IISc and 7 IITs jointly organised the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The GATE scores remain valid for three years from the date that the results are announced.

IIT Roorkee GATE 2025 Result: Documents Needed To Check Scores

Candidates can log in to the Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal of GATE 2025 to view their results by entering their registration number as well as date of birth. Candidates can obtain their roll or registration number from the admit cards handed over to them prior to the exam.

The exam, conducted in computer-based mode on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, featured Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The provisional answer key was released on February 27, 2025, with the objection window closing on March 1, 2025.

There will be a negative marking for the incorrect responses and a third of the score will be deducted for a one-mark MCQ in case of wrong answers. For a two-mark MCQ, there will be a two-third mark deduction for the incorrect response. Moreover, there will be no deduction for incorrect MSQ and NAT responses.

GATE 2025 Result: How To Download?

Step 1: Go to the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in

Step 2: On the main site, go to the ‘Candidate Login’ section

Step 3: As the new page opens, enter your Enrollment ID / Email Address and password. Then click on submit.

Step 4: The GATE 2025 result will appear on the screen. Check and download it

Like other competitive exams, it is not easy to prepare for GATE. The cut-off is decided keeping in mind many factors. GATE cutoff is prepared on the basis of factors like the total number of students appearing for the exam, the number of seats, the previous year’s trend, and the difficulty level of the question paper.
