IIT Roorkee : Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) celebrated its 24th convocation ceremony today with a total of 2,513 students receiving degrees. Debjani Ghosh, president of NASSCOM was the chief guest of the event. The IIT Roorkee convocation 2024 was also live-streamed on the institute’s official website and social media channels.
There were 2,513 graduates this year, including 1,277 undergraduate (UG) students, 794 PG students, and 442 PhD students. There are 582 female and 1,931 male students among them. There were a total of 143 medals and awards given to deserving students.
“A huge feature of the current year’s conference is the wonderful expansion in the extent of graduating female understudies, taking off from 18.84% in 2022 to a great 23.6% in 2024, reflecting IIT Roorkee’s undaunted obligation to orientation variety and consideration,” the foundation said. The quantity of female understudies graduating expanded by 4.32%.
Talking at the occasion, IIT Roorkee chief KK Gasp said: ” My best wishes to the class of 2018 and their families. IIT Roorkee has a rich heritage in designing and sciences, and our new accomplishments highlight our obligation to development and greatness. With record licenses, lofty honors, and headways in innovation and framework, we keep on driving in innovative work.”
“By fostering sustainability, advancing industry-academic collaboration, and inspiring young minds, our events throughout the year have had a significant impact on society. These milestones demonstrate our dedication to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and our ongoing pursuit of progress,” he added.
