IIT Madras hosts Energy Summit 2023 on green hydrogen, carbon markets, energy efficiency

IIT Madras: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) Energy Consortium is hosting its annual summit from December 5 to 8 December 2023. More than 300 delegates are taking part, including over 40 international speakers representing Australia, UK, US, Italy, South Korea, and Japan, in IIT Madras Energy Summit 2023.

The IIT Madras Energy Summit 2023 has multiple themes, including ‘Energy storage and green hydrogen’; ‘Carbon markets, energy economics and climate finance’; Energy efficiency, energy management and modelling, sustainable buildings’; and ‘Microgrids, power conversion systems and power electronics’.

During the highest point carbon dioxide catch demonstrator was sent off to help businesses and scientists show innovation increase. In addition, the delegates agreed to work with more academic and industrial partners to achieve the government’s technology transition for decarbonization goals. Additionally, a software application for energy audits was launched for use by MSME, energy auditors, and other industries.

On the occasion, a special issue of the magazine titled “Path to decarbonisation” featured a collection of articles written by energy experts from academia, industry, and government.

Energy Culmination 2023 convenor Satyanarayanan Seshadri said, “Creating versatility in our energy frameworks and it is basic to address comprehensive advancement of advances. Only collective action can accomplish this. The Energy Culmination at IITM is one of the major worldwide stage that is driving this.”
