IIT Kharagpur, Indian Navy join forces to drive innovation through research partnership

IIT Kharagpur: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur) and Indian Navy have signed an agreement at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi, to promote technology development, innovative solutions and joint research and development. Rear Admiral K Srinivas, assistant chief of materiel (dockyard and refit) at Naval Headquarters and Rintu Banerjee, dean, research and development, IIT Kharagpur signed the agreement in the presence of IIT Kharagpur director Virendra Kumar Tewari.

The essential coordinated effort centers around joint innovative work drives including groups from Indian Naval force and IIT Kharagpur. The understanding will be co-ordinated by INS Shivaji, Lonavala. This arrangement means a move towards an emblematic connection between the scholarly community and the military, cultivating a climate helpful for development and information trade.

“This organization will advance scholastic collaboration, improve logical comprehension of advancements connected with protection and attempt research in commonly advantageous regions including taking up research projects by Indian Naval force supported understudies on the subjects relating to areas of interest of Indian Naval force,” said Prof. V K Tewari, Chief, IIT Kharagpur.

The circles of studies incorporate impetus frameworks, frameworks and controls, instrumentation and sensors, modern designing and functional exploration, nanotechnology and MEMS, hydrodynamic investigation of liquids, PC supported plan, investigation of mechanical plan of frameworks and gear, surface treatment, investigation of acoustics, unwavering quality, quantum registering and quantum mechanics, computer based intelligence, ML, Huge information Examination, mechatronics, mechanical technology and so forth. Other extraordinary formative examinations relating to computational liquid elements for frame limb collaboration, body ocean delta communication, streamlined/crest direction, improvement of boat structure, steel innovation and so on. what’s more, other designing disciplines will be incorporated.
