IIT Kanpur C3iHub: Launch Cybersecurity Skilling Programme

IIT Kanpur C3iHub: IIT Kanpur has announced a new Cybersecurity Skilling Programme in partnership with C3iHub, it’s cybersecurity Technology and Innovation Hub. The program is now accepting applications from interested candidates through the official C3iHub website at c3ihub.org/education/empowerment-program-cybersecurity.

IIT Kanpur has scheduled the launch of its new Cybersecurity Skilling Programme on April 26, 2023. The eight-week program will be taught in Hindi and will consist of six hours per week, including live sessions, online assignments, and hands-on exercises. Participants must have basic knowledge of computer networks and operating systems (Linux/Windows), while familiarity with Bash script and Python is optional.

One noteworthy aspect of the Cybersecurity Skilling Programme is that it is free of cost for SC/ST students to apply, as their enrolment is funded by DST, Govt. of India. After finishing the course, students will be given a certificate from C3iHub, which will add value to their professional profile.

The program will offer a blend of rigorous academic teaching and practical training, intended to assist students in acquiring the necessary skills and expertise. The experts leading the program will provide learners with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the technical fundamentals of cyberspace and cyber issues, introduce real-time cybersecurity techniques and methods, and concentrate on models, tools, and techniques for enforcing security.

The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under NM-ICPS Mission is supporting this new program, along with C3iHub-incubated startups Threat Guardians Pvt Ltd. and Workers Union Support as the implementing partners.
