IIT Jodhpur Launches BSc Degree in Applied AI & Data Science

IIT Jodhpur : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has introduced a new BSc./BS. degree in Applied AI & Data Science in collaboration with Futurense Uni. The program aims to equip the next generation of Indian talent with skills to meet the growing demand for AI professionals in an evolving global landscape.

The course is designed for students and working professionals alike. The program offers a flexible online format with an annual campus immersion at IIT Jodhpur. The curriculum follows a stackable structure, allowing candidates to earn a Certification in the first year, a Diploma in the second, a BSc. degree in the third, and a BS. degree by the fourth year.

Highlighting the importance of innovative education models that address global challenges, Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal, Director of IIT Jodhpur said “In today’s world, creative solutions to pressing issues such as human rights and sustainable development are essential. Our new AI and Data Science program will provide students with the modern skills needed to thrive in a rapidly transforming global ecosystem.”

The curriculum incorporates over 100 advanced AI tools and provides hands-on experience with technologies such as Devin AI and Claude. A key feature of the program is the Futurense Leadership Council, comprising Fortune 500 CXOs and industry experts who contribute to curriculum development and student mentorship.

Classes will include self-paced video lectures, quizzes, assignments, and live weekend sessions with faculty and industry leaders. Practical skills will be honed through assessments and projects.

Candidates can apply for the course at the Futurense Uni website- futurense.com. Candidates are not required a JEE qualification is required however the application process includes a qualifying test and submission of relevant documents.
