IIT Delhi launches BTech in Design; admission through JEE Advanced, UCEED

IIT Delhi : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi launches a new four-year undergraduate programme, “BTech in Design,”, starting from the academic year 2025-26. According to the official press release, students will get admission to this programme based on their ranking in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced.

Students will need to pass the design aptitude test, the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED), in addition to the JEE Advanced score. Technology, systematic design thinking processes, research methods for analyzing socio-technical systems, communication and presentation skills, and teamwork will all be covered in the program’s curriculum, according to the press release.

About half of the courses in the program will be in design, with the remaining courses coming from other departments, centers, and schools.
