IIT Bombay Launches Executive PG Diploma In Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

IIT Bombay : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has unveiled an Executive Post-Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, presented by the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MinDS). This 18-month, industry-focused online programme, is scheduled to commence in January 2025, reported India Today.

Crafted and taught by IIT Bombay faculty in partnership with Great Learning, the programme will culminate in an on-campus graduation ceremony, bestowing participants with alumni status. The course has been designed for early and mid-career professionals. The programme encompasses essential topics in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. The curriculum combines foundational courses, including programming for machine learning, statistical principles, machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and practical applications of AI and ML, with elective courses aimed at developing skills that are immediately applicable in the industry.

Participants will acquire practical experience with tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face, Docker, Kubernetes and PyTorch. This hands-on training will be complemented by IIT Bombay’s academic resources, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.

According to the eligibility criteria, applicants must possess a four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year degree along with at least one year of work experience. Postgraduates and doctoral candidates with a strong background in Mathematics and Statistics at the undergraduate level are also welcome to apply.
