IIM Shillong organises faculty development programme in general management and research methodology
Starting today, the Umsawli campus of the Indian Institute of Management Shillong IIM Shillong will host a five-day sponsored residential Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on general management and research methodology. The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Place for Strategy and Exploration of IIMS has coordinated the FDP for employees of advanced education organizations in the North Eastern District (NER). The event will take place from May 8 to May 12.
The official statement says that the FDP will try to train trainers by giving them the skills they need to teach and spread knowledge, which will help the country and the North East grow.
DP Goyal, director of IIM SHillong, remarked on the occasion, ” One is required to have two responsibilities as a faculty member: to be an effective educator and researcher. It is a teacher’s responsibility to meet the learning needs of all students, including those who are slow learners. It is also important to evaluate oneself in order to establish a fair and open evaluation process for students. According to the authority warning, people partaking in FDP will figure out how to plan an educational program and make an instructional method of instructing.
The FDP will include 30 faculty members from a variety of institutions, including IIMC, Aizawl, Tripura Institute of Paramedical Science, Cotton University, Guwahati, Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS Delhi, NEHU, and Assam University.
