IIM-Sambalpur to launch Delhi campus

IIM-Sambalpur: On Saturday, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Sambalpur is set to inaugurate a new campus in New Delhi, offering courses tailored for working professionals and entrepreneurs. The primary objective of this new campus is to attract individuals who wish to pursue management studies while maintaining their current jobs and business ventures.

According to a statement, the purpose of establishing a center in Delhi is to attract a large number of working professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs who are interested in pursuing management studies over the weekends from a top-tier IIM while continuing with their existing trades and professions. In addition, these individuals will have the opportunity to obtain a dual degree from international universities.

The campus will provide a chance for professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs to pursue a management degree from a premier institute like IIM, as there is currently no IIM campus in Delhi, said Jaiswal. Regular classes will be conducted at the campus, with a well-balanced combination of flipped classroom studies, lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, seminar presentations, assignments, and management games. These teaching methods will be delivered in a blended mode to impart education to the participants, enabling them to become innovative leaders in the future, he added.

Jaiswal pointed out that Delhi, being the capital of the nation, along with its neighboring cities in the National Capital Region (NCR), houses numerous government and public sector units, corporate headquarters, and major family businesses. As a result, there is a vast pool of potential candidates in the area.
