IIM Calcutta National Policy Hackathon 2024 concludes

IIM Calcutta: The Public Policy Club of IIM Calcutta recently concluded the second edition of their highly anticipated National Policy Hackathon 2024, which gathered participants from 16+ states and 180+ institutions throughout the country. The event’s co-organisers were the Public Policy Club, IIFT Kolkata and the Toastmasters Club,IIM Calcutta. Ikigai Law, a well-known legal and public policy company, acted as the event’s knowledge partner.

The hackathon, which comprised of three rounds, gave an open door to forthcoming strategy fans to investigate current worries and give creative arrangements. The initial two rounds zeroed in on whitepaper entries, in which members addressed case issues connected with the deepfake danger, reused plastic in the food business, and the requirement for work upskilling. The quality and scope of entries exhibited the members’ scientific and imaginative reasoning in settling testing strategy challenges. In the wake of assessing the entries, seven finalists were chosen to introduce their recommendations at the IIM Calcutta grounds on Walk 3, 2024.

The board of judges included teacher Rajesh Bhattacharya from the public strategy and the executives bunch at IIM Calcutta, teacher Debashis Chakraborty from the financial aspects bunch at IIFT Kolkata, and Rutuja Pol, the lead of government undertakings at Ikigai Regulation.

The introductions were surveyed in light of their degree of examination, clearness, curiosity, and arrangement practicality. The introductions zeroed in on a wide scope of strategy areas, from using present day innovation to fight deepfake content to offering practical ways of diminishing plastic contamination in the food business.

The National Policy Hackathon 2024 provides an opportunity for discussion, ideation, and cooperation. The event not only inspired attendees, but it also fostered a network of changemakers dedicated to positive societal impact through policy innovation.
