ICSSR Announces 6-month Internship Programme, 25 Positions Up For Grabs

ICSSR : The Government of India is offering a valuable internship opportunity at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), providing 25 selected candidates with a chance to gain significant experience. This six-month internship program, starting in 2024, will allow interns to work directly with ICSSR and earn a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000. Interns will be required to work 40 hours per week at the ICSSR Head Office in Delhi. The program is designed to provide practical experience in the research and administrative functions of the ICSSR, which could be highly beneficial for those pursuing careers in the government sector. The internship will enhance skills and provide valuable insights into the workings of a major research institution.

To be eligible, candidates must hold an MA or MSc degree in social sciences, humanities, or interdisciplinary studies with a minimum of 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade from a recognised university or institute. Essential skills include good communication abilities, a basic understanding of research methodology, statistical instruments, data analysis in social sciences and proficiency in MS Office.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications. It is important to note that this internship does not guarantee employment with ICSSR, nor does it offer residential facilities. Interns will work from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break and will receive one day off per month.

The ICSSR retains the right to make changes to the internship program or selection process as deemed necessary.
