ICG : The official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants was released by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on today. The notification applies to the 2026 batch and aims to fill 140 vacancies across two branches including General Duty and Technical. Here are all the dates you must keep a lookout for –

November 28 – Notification release

December 5 – Application start date

December 24 – Application end date

February 25 – Stage I Exam (CGCAT)

March, 2025 – Stage II (PSB)

April to October 2025 – Stage III (FSB)

ICG Assistant Commandant Notification 2024: Eligibility

General Duty (GD)

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with mathematics and physics from a recognized institution. Diploma candidates must have Physics and Mathematics in the syllabus.

Technical Branch

Interested candidates must have an Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine or related disciplines. Candidates with Electrical or Electronics engineering subjects can also apply.

ICG Assistant Commandant Notification 2024: Application Fee

The standard application fee for the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant is Rs 300. This fee applies to categories including General, OBC and EWS. Whereas, SC/ST candidates are not required to pay any fee. Candidates can make the payment online using net banking, credit card or debit cards.
