Health Officers Recruit: Bihar Government To Recruit 4,500 Community Health Officers

Health Officers Recruit : The State Health Society, Bihar invites online applications for the post of Community Health Officer on a contractual basis under the National Health Mission. This post will lead the primary care provider team consisting of female health workers, ASHA’s at Health Sub-Centres, and Health and wellness centres for the implementation of public health programs.

Candidates can apply for this post by visiting the official website of the Health Department shs.bihar.gov.in. The application process has started from November 1 . Candidates must complete the application process by November 21, 2024. The application fee varies according to category and gender.

Vacancies:

There are a total number of 4500 posts available.

  1. UR – 979.
  2. EWS- 245.
  3. SC- 1243.
  4. ST- 55.
  5. EBC- 1170.
  6. BC- 640.
  7. WBC- 168.

Eligibility Criteria: 

  1. B.Sc (Nursing): Candidata es must have B.Sc (Nursing) degree from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council and six months course of Certificate Course in Health (CCH) from the academic year 2020 onwards or,
  2. Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with successful completion of a six-month integrated course in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Council recognized Institute or University from the academic year 2020 onwards or,
  3. B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing/ General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) passed candidates who have completed certificate course in Community Health (CCH) through IGNOU/other State Public Health/Medical Universities as per the curriculum of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India.

Age Limit: 

  1. The maximum age limit for male candidates and female candidates under UR/EWS is 42 and 45 respectively, while the age limit for male and female candidates under BC/EBC is 45 years and the maximum age limit for male and female candidates under SC/ST is 47 years.
  2. The minimum age limit for the candidates must be 21 years.
  3. 10 years of relaxation in age will be admissible to persons with Benchmark disability.
  4. A maximum of 5 years of age relaxation will apply to department candidates provided they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria.
