GATE 2025 Answer Key To Be Released Soon
GATE 2025 : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is all set to release the provisional answer key for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. While the exact release date and time have not been confirmed yet, candidates can download the answer key from the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in once it becomes available.
Along with the provisional answer key, IIT Roorkee will also release the response sheets of candidates who appeared for the exam. This will enable candidates to calculate their approximate scores by comparing their response sheets with the answer key. Additionally, candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key if they can present valid evidence to support their claims.
GATE 2025 Exam Pattern
The GATE 2025 exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. In MCQs, candidates are required to choose the correct answer from four options. The exam will include a total of 65 questions, comprising 10 questions from General Aptitude and 55 from the subject of the candidate’s choice.
The total weightage for the GATE exam is 100 marks. The questions in the exam will be worth either 1 mark or 2 marks, depending on the question type. Negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers in MCQs, with 1/3 mark being deducted for a wrong answer in 1-mark MCQs.
Refer to the Provisional Answer Key: Once the answer key is released, compare the answers from your response sheet with the answer key.
Identify Correct Answers: For each correct answer, allocate the respective marks (1 or 2, depending on the question).
Account for Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer in the MCQ section, deduct the appropriate negative marks. For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. For 2-mark MCQs, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
Add Up the Marks: Sum up the marks for all correct answers and subtract the negative marks for incorrect responses to determine your approximate score.
After the provisional answer key is released, candidates can also raise objections if they believe there is an error in the key. IIT Roorkee will review these objections before releasing the final answer key and results.
