FMGE : The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has commenced the application process for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2025. Interested and eligible candidates may submit their applications by visiting the official website at natboard.edu.in. The last date to submit the applications is May 17, 2025. The application fee is Rs 6195.
The application edit window will be open from May 22 to May 24 allowing students to make changes to their documents or other information except name, email ID, mobile number, nationality and test city. Admit will be issued on July 22. The exam will be held on July 26 with the results are slated to be released by August 26, 2025.
The FMGE is a screening test for those seeking a provisional or permanent license to practice medicine in India, which is issued by the Medical Council of India or state medical councils. Candidates who are Indians or have Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) status must have a basic medical degree that has been recognised by the relevant Indian Embassy, before they can be registered as medical doctors in the country where the degree-granting institution is located.
Step 1: Check the official website at natboard.edu.in.
Step 2: Upon reaching the homepage, click on the Exams tab.
Step 3: Next, go to the FMGE June 2025 examination tab and then click on the application link.
Step 4: Fill in the application form with all the necessary details and click on submit. Pay the application fees.
Step 5: Save and take a hard copy of the registration form for future reference.
The FMGE exam is conducted via computer in the English language and consists of 300 multiple-choice questions, divided into two parts (150 each). The exam has a duration of 300 minutes (5 hours) to complete the test with a scheduled break between both the parts. To clear the exam, the candidates need to score a minimum of 150 marks out of 300. No marks will be deducted for any wrong attempts.
