DU releases academic calendar for first year students; classes from August 29

DU : The University of Delhi has released the academic calendar for the first-year undergraduate students for the academic session of 2024-2025. The semester 1 classes will begin from Thursday, August 29. DU will conduct a theory examination for these students from January 6 and after the conduction of the semester examination, the students will be given winter break.

The official admission.uod.ac.in website provides candidates with access to the complete academic calendar. From January 25 to 26, the winter break will last two days.

Beginning on Monday, January 27, DU students will begin their second semester, with a one-week midterm break from March 9 to March 16. Beginning on June 7, students in the second semester will take the final theory exam.

The students will have summer vacations from June 29 to July 20, 2025, after finishing their first year.

The University is accepting applications for a total of 79 programs and 69 colleges during this session. Counseling has already begun, and August 1 marked the beginning of the second phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG process.

The CASA UG guiding comprises of three stages. Stage I is for applying to the Delhi College, stage II includes filling of projects and schools liked by the up-and-comer and stage III is the distribution or the affirmation round.
