DTU launches 5-year integrated BSc, MSc programmes in five subjects

DTU : The Delhi Technology University on Tuesday launched five-year integrated BSc and MSc programmes in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Economics for the academic session 2024-25. These new programmes have been designed in accordance with NEP 2020, with multiple entry and exit options after completing the requisite number of credits, DTU Vice Chancellor Prateek Sharma told reporters in a press conference.

The MTech (Research) program at the DTU will begin in the 2024–25 academic year for students from a variety of disciplines. Two-thirds of the curriculum will consist of research, and one-third will be course work. It intends to establish five centers of excellence and research: a center for executive education, a center for disaster risk reduction, a center for disaster risk reduction, a center for disaster risk reduction, and a center for community development and research.

According to a statement released by the university, the centers were established with the intention of conducting cutting-edge research and developing technological solutions to societal issues. Additionally, the DTU intends to establish a Digital Education office. It stated that this office will create online course content with its renowned faculty, expand the availability of online teaching platforms, and develop digital infrastructure. Additionally, the university will establish a corporate relationship office to support DTU’s corporate relations. Additionally, it aims to reach out to the industry with suggestions for efficiently utilizing their CSR funds.
