DRDO Internship: Opportunity For Graduates To Get Hands-On Experience In Defence Tech
DRDO : If You are an engineering or science graduate or postgraduate student then Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is a great institute to get hands-on experience before you kickstart your professional journey. The DRDO’s internship scheme aims at providing students with hands-on training in the field of defence technology.
This opportunity is designed to offer engineering and general science students a unique opportunity to engage in state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) projects conducted at DRDO’s labs and establishments.
The internship is open to students pursuing graduate and post-graduate degrees in engineering and general sciences.
The DRDO internship offers students a chance to work in areas directly relevant to defence technology, providing invaluable experience in R&D. Here are some of the core features of the scheme:
Internship Training in Relevant Areas: The training will cover disciplines and projects pertinent to the defence sector, offering interns the opportunity to learn from experts in the field.

Vacancy-Dependent Approval: Internship opportunities will be subject to availability and must be approved by the concerned Lab Director.
Exposure to Unclassified Areas: Interns will only have access to unclassified areas of DRDO labs and establishments, ensuring national security standards are upheld.
No Employment Obligation: Participation in the scheme does not guarantee employment with DRDO upon completion of the training.
No Liability for Compensation: DRDO will not be held liable for any personal injury or accidents that may occur during the internship period.
Flexible Training Duration: The internship period can range from 4 weeks to 6 months, depending on the nature of the course, with the Lab Director having the discretion to decide the duration.
