Delhi Nursery Admissions 2025: Last Date To Register For Open Seats Tomorrow

Delhi Nursery Admissions : The Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) will close the nursery admission registration in private unaided recognised schools tomorrow, January 3, 2025. Parents who want to enrol their children in nursery for the 2025-26 school year must complete the application process and upload the required details by tomorrow.

These admissions are for open seats in the schools, while 25% of the total seats are reserved for students from economically weaker sections (EWS), disadvantaged groups (DG), and children with disabilities.

The first list of selected candidates for open seats will be published on January 17. Parents can raise queries about the allotment from January 18 to January 27. If required, a second list will be released on February 3, with a query resolution period from February 5 to February 11.

Delhi Nursery Admissions 2025: Important Dates

January 3, 2025: Last day to submit details for nursery, KG, and Class 1 admissions (open seats).

January 17, 2025: First list of selected students will be released.

January 18–27, 2025: Parents can raise questions about the first list.

February 3, 2025: Second list of selected students (if needed) will be released.

February 5–11, 2025: Parents can raise questions about the second list.

Delhi Nursery Admissions 2025: Age Limit

As per the guidelines, the minimum age for admission is three years for Nursery, as of March 31, 2025. The upper age limit is four years. Schools have the flexibility to grant a relaxation of up to 30 days in the age limit upon parental request.

Schools have established specific criteria for admissions, focusing on factors such as neighbourhood proximity and distance from the school. Additional considerations include having a sibling already enrolled, being a single parent or the applicant being a girl child. Certain institutions also have special provisions for specific groups, such as Sikh and Christian minorities or families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
