Delhi govt establishing 2 new campuses of Ambedkar University
Education Minister Atishi stated on Wednesday that the Delhi government has prioritized the re-conceptualization of technical institutes and is opening two new campuses of the Ambedkar University to accommodate more students. Looking into projects for advanced education, the pastor trained authorities to set up an activity plan for modernisation and development of all colleges and specialized instruction foundations of the Delhi government.
“2.5 lakh children leave class 12 in Delhi,” However, despite their abilities and talent, only one lakh of these children are accepted into any university. “The Delhi government began increasing the capacity of its universities in recognition of this,” Atishi stated. Additionally, she promised that the new Ambedkar University campuses in Rohini and Dheerpur would meet all of the students’ academic requirements and gave officials the order to speed up construction.
“The Delhi government works toward the goal of transforming the nation through education. More than 26,000 students will be eligible for admission once the university’s Dheerpur and Rohini campuses are completed, the minister stated. There will be separate hostels for girls and boys, multi-story academic blocks, a convention block, a health center, an auditorium, an administrative block, a library block, an amphitheatre, and a guest house on both campuses. Additionally, houses will be built.
According to Atishi, 10,000 students will be housed in two cutting-edge academic blocks at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Shahdara. The education minister of Delhi looked over the project’s first phase on Wednesday. According to the Directorate of Education, there are a total of 11,000 seats in the 19 ITIs that the Delhi government currently operates, and more than 30,000 applications are submitted annually.
