This is the <strong>highest monthly total so far in the current fiscal year (FY26)<\/strong>, surpassing October\u2019s figure of 219.51 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Surge_in_Face_Authentication_%E2%80%94_A_New_Trend\"><\/span>Surge in Face Authentication \u2014 A New Trend<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A significant portion of this rise came from the growing use of <strong>face-based Aadhaar authentication<\/strong>. In November 2025, there were <strong>28.29 crore face authentication transactions<\/strong>, more than double the 12.04 crore recorded in November 2024.  The popularity of this AI-based face-scan method has increased drastically \u2014 nearly <strong>60% of Digital Life Certificates (DLCs)<\/strong> generated by pensioners in November used face authentication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"e-KYC_Transactions_Show_Strong_Growth\"><\/span>e-KYC Transactions Show Strong Growth<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Another driving factor behind the surge was the increase in <strong>Aadhaar-based e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) verifications<\/strong>. November saw <strong>47.19 crore e-KYC transactions<\/strong>, which represents a <strong>more than 24% jump<\/strong> compared to the same month last year. e-KYC is widely used in banking, fintech, telecom, insurance, and other sectors \u2014 making identity verification faster and more convenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aadhaar_%E2%80%93_A_Core_Part_of_Indias_Digital_Ecosystem\"><\/span>Aadhaar \u2013 A Core Part of India\u2019s Digital Ecosystem<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Ministry of Electronics &amp; IT, the rising volume of Aadhaar authentications reflects the deepening adoption of Aadhaar as a \u201cdigital identity backbone.\u201d The data suggests that Aadhaar is increasingly being leveraged for not just welfare delivery, but a wide range of services \u2014 from banking and financial services to pension disbursements and telecom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Implications_for_Ease_of_Doing_Business_Welfare_Services\"><\/span>Implications for Ease of Doing Business &amp; Welfare Services<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The expansion of Aadhaar authentication \u2014 both biometric (face) and e-KYC \u2014 is a clear sign of <strong>digital economy growth<\/strong>. It simplifies customer verification for banks and financial institutions, speeds up onboarding processes, and supports efficient delivery of welfare benefits and services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr
