The interiors are revamped with graffiti and artwork designed by IIT\u2019s Fine Arts Society, giving it a youthful, energetic vibe that resonates with students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new post office offers several smart, tech-enabled touchpoints. For instance, students can book parcels using QR codes, reducing paperwork and streamlining the parcel process. There are student-friendly perks too \u2014 discounted Speed Post rates designed specifically for the campus community, and branded packaging options for parcels. A Wi-Fi enabled zone ensures students remain connected even while accessing postal services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most novel features is the <strong>student franchise model<\/strong>, where students get hands-on exposure to postal operations. This not only fosters entrepreneurship among students but also gives them real-world experience in logistics, customer service, and running a business. On top of this, students will act as social media ambassadors, creating digital content to promote the India Post brand \u2014 making it more visible and relatable for their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond IIT Delhi, this is not just a one-off experiment. India Post plans a <strong>national rollout<\/strong>: it aims to revamp 46 campus-based post offices across India by <strong>15 December 2025<\/strong>. These revamped offices will serve as digital postal hubs tailored for academic communities \u2014 students, researchers, and faculty \u2014 and will reflect modern workspace culture in both design and operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Ministry of Communications, this move aligns with a broader vision to modernize India Post. The goal is to make postal services more accessible, relevant, and attractive to younger generations.
