This year\u2019s dual themes \u2014 <strong>\u201cMy Day, My Rights\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cFor Every Child, Every Right\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 underline the fact that children are not only future citizens but today\u2019s right\u2011holders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Global_Observance_and_Significance\"><\/span>Global Observance and Significance<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United Nations established this day to unify and amplify efforts to protect children\u2019s rights, well being, education and participation in decision\u2011making. Schools around the world held awareness campaigns, art contests, youth\u2011led dialogues and storytelling sessions; key monuments were lit in blue under UNICEF\u2019s \u201cGo Blue\u201d campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Themes_and_Priority_Areas_for_2025\"><\/span>Themes and Priority Areas for 2025<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the theme \u201cMy Day, My Rights\u201d, emphasis is placed on children\u2019s agency \u2014 their voice, views and choices. Under \u201cFor Every Child, Every Right\u201d, the emphasis is on universality \u2014 ensuring all children, regardless of geography, gender, ability or background, enjoy full rights.  Priority areas include education, health (including mental health), digital safety, climate action and children\u2019s participation in shaping their future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Persistent_Challenges_and_the_Call_to_Action\"><\/span>Persistent Challenges and the Call to Action<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite global progress, millions of children still face malnutrition, child labour, abuse, early marriage, school drop\u2011out and discrimination. The observance is a call to elevate children from passive beneficiaries to active participants, and to focus not just on survival but on dignity, development and participation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Indias_Context_and_Celebration\"><\/span>India\u2019s Context and Celebration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In India, children\u2019s issues are deeply embedded in the national agenda. Although India celebrates its national Children\u2019s Day on <strong>14\u202fNovember<\/strong> (birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru), the global observance on 20\u202fNovember offers additional context for government exam aspirants to understand universal and national frameworks. The message is clear: children must be empowered <strong>today<\/strong>, not just prepared for <strong>tomorrow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
