Nadda<\/strong> announced the launch of <strong>10 new AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment)<\/strong> pharmacies, marking the <strong>10th anniversary<\/strong> of the AMRIT scheme. Patients can access branded medicines and implants at steep discounts \u2014 up to <strong>50% off the Maximum Retail Price (MRP)<\/strong> according to the Health Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scheme is implemented through <strong>HLL Lifecare Ltd.<\/strong>, a public-sector enterprise under the Ministry of Health &amp; Family Welfare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Milestones_and_Reach_in_10_Years\"><\/span>Milestones and Reach in 10 Years<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since its launch in <strong>2015<\/strong>, the AMRIT initiative has grown significantly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are now <strong>over 255 AMRIT outlets<\/strong> across <strong>24 states<\/strong> and <strong>4 Union Territories<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than <strong>6.85 crore patients<\/strong> have benefited from the scheme. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medicines and implants worth <strong>\u20b917,000 crore (MRP)<\/strong> have been dispensed so far. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The estimated savings for patients is around <strong>\u20b98,500 crore<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over <strong>6,500 drugs and medical devices<\/strong> are available under the AMRIT network. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Vision_for_Expansion\"><\/span>Vision for Expansion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J.P. Nadda emphasized the goal of <strong>expanding the AMRIT network to at least 500 outlets<\/strong>.  He stressed that <strong>every medical college and district hospital<\/strong> in India should have an AMRIT pharmacy to ensure universal access. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To support this vision, he called on <strong>HLL Lifecare<\/strong> to accelerate its efforts. operational efficiency of AMRIT pharmacies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>customised postage stamp (\u201cMy Stamp\u201d)<\/strong> in collaboration with India Post to commemorate AMRIT\u2019s 10-year journey. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional infrastructure support including a <strong>mobile pharmacy van<\/strong> for rural outreach in NCR and a <strong>24\u00d77 national contact centre<\/strong> to
