This recognition was issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Chemically, it has a high calcium content, which helps with its robustness, and it can be polished to a smooth finish, making it ideal for temples and monuments.
