CUET UG 2025: New Website Launched, Application Form To Be Released Soon

CUET UG 2025 :The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new website for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025. The new website launched by NTA is cuet.nta.nic.in. This website will serve as the official platform for undergraduate admissions, where students can find updates and submit their applications once the forms are released. Though no announcements have been posted yet, the CUET UG 2025 notification is expected soon, detailing the application process and exam-related information.

Major Changes In CUET UG 2025

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced key changes to the CUET UG 2025 exam based on recommendations by an expert panel. Unlike the previous hybrid format, the exam will now be conducted fully in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

The UGC has announced a reduction in the number of subjects for CUET UG 2025, bringing it down from 63 to 37. Admissions for programmes in the dropped subjects will now be based on General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores.

Similarly, instead of separate tests for 33 languages, exams will now be conducted for only 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The number of domain-specific subjects has also been reduced from 29 to 23. The dropped subjects include Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.

The CUET UG will continue to be held once a year, as confirmed by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The information bulletin will soon be available on the official website, providing details on the exam date, registration schedule, application fee, exam pattern, syllabus, participating universities and other important updates.
