UGC NET 2025 : The CSIR UGC NET December 2024 exam is scheduled to begin tomorrow, February 28. It will continue till March 2, 2025, in two shifts: 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm. The CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) grants and lectureship positions.

The exam will be held online as a computer-based test (CBT) in English and Hindi. The three-hour exam comprises three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C, for a total of 200 marks. Part A focuses on General Aptitude, while Parts B and C assess the candidate’s knowledge in their chosen subject. All sections consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.

CSIR UGC NET 2025: What To Carry?

— Admit card

— A simple transparent ballpoint pen

— Additional photograph (same as uploaded on the online application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet in the exam hall.

— Valid Identity Card (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card, etc.)

— PwBD certificate, if applicable

— Personal transparent water bottle

— Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) for diabetic candidates

CSIR UGC NET 2025: Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Hall

Candidates are not allowed to carry any instruments, geometry or pencil box, handbag, purse, any kind of paper/ stationery/ textual material, eatables, mobile phone/ earphone/ microphone/ pager, calculator, DocuPen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the exam hall. Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc. in the exam centre is strictly prohibited, the official notice stated.

CSIR UGC NET 2025 Admit Cards

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. To download the admit card, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the ‘Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Admit Card’ link. On the new page, they will have to enter their application number, date of birth, and security pin. After submitting these details, the admit card will appear on the screen.
